My name is Julie Orton, and I will be supporting students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms.
I grew up in a small town in South Texas - Refugio - where I graduated high school in 1990. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with Bachelor of Science (in Deaf Education) and Master of Education degrees. I taught with the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf in Georgetown and Round Rock for four years, and I have been in Pflugerville ISD for the last 19 years. I also coached volleyballl, basketball, track, and cross country for six years and club volleyball for two years.
I am married to Curtis, and we have three children (Alex 24, Hailey 20, and Isabella 12), four grandchildren (Brixton 7, Kingston 5, DJ 2, and Carson - coming in December), and one dog (Max).
I look forward to working with your students!
